Cap Toss
Cap Toss
Play Area: Schoolyard or open space
Materials Needed: Metal soda caps or plastic bottle caps
Game Duration: As long as desired.
Game

Before the game begins, children are asked to collect only one type of cap from the environment. That means either all metal caps or all plastic caps are used, making sure not to mix them. Each player selects a certain number of the caps they collected and places them side by side in the play area. Once all caps are arranged, all players step back about one to two meters and, in turn, start throwing their caps.
If a player hits one of the arranged caps with their throw, that cap becomes theirs, and the game continues this way. However, if the thrown cap hits another cap that has already been thrown, a different rule applies: apart from the arranged caps, all previously thrown caps that were hit are collected by the successful player. This makes both aiming skills and strategic thinking important.
The game continues until all the arranged caps have been collected. At the end, the player with the most caps wins. This activity teaches children to be attentive, to learn through trial and error, and to enjoy playing in a fun and competitive environment.
