Don’t Let the Children Die!
Don’t Let the Children Die!
Imagine a school…
Walls covered with drawings, desks holding half-finished notebooks, the sound of little feet running during recess…
And then, suddenly, silence.
In the war that began last week, when a school was targeted, it was not only concrete that collapsed beneath the rubble. It was dreams. It was the small arms waiting to hug a teacher, the children who still had one more story to tell their mothers about their day.
Children are not a side.
Children are not a battlefield.
Children are not a “message.”
Their world is as small as a pencil case, yet their hopes are as vast as the sky. No line drawn on a map can ever be worth more than a child’s life.
I truly ask:
Can children please not die?
