Cicili Tavuk is a game played with at least two teams. At the beginning of the game, pits are dug, one for each team and one for the ball to be played with. A certain distance is set between the players and their respective pits, and a line is drawn at this point. Players lined up on the line take turns trying to throw the ball into the pit. If the ball does not enter the pit, it is the next player's turn.
The player who successfully gets the ball into the pit quickly runs to retrieve the ball. Meanwhile, players from the opposing team try to escape. When a child retrieves the ball, they yell "istop". During this time, the other players freeze in place and do not move. The player who yelled "istop" tries to hit the closest opponent with the ball.
If successful, a stone is placed in the opposing team's pit, and the game continues. When a team accumulates three stones in their pit, one player from that team has their eyes blindfolded, and the ball is hidden secretly. While the blindfolded player searches for the ball, the rhyme "Fancy Chicken" is repeated to distract the player's attention. The rhyme goes as follows: "Fancy Chicken. Fancy Chicken. She can't found baby chicken!" If the ball is not found within 15 seconds, the team hiding the ball wins and the game restarts. When the Fancy Chicken game ends, the losing team applauds the winning team; no penalties are applied.
