Human Chain

Human Chain

Number of Players: 5 - 20

Materials Needed: None

Game Duration: 5 - 15 minutes

The Game

Participants stand shoulder to shoulder in a circle. They are then asked to close their eyes and slowly move towards the center of the circle, intertwining with each other inside until they find a hand opposite them. Ultimately, every hand should find its pair. The player left without a hand shouts "my hand is up" and tries to find a hand to hold.

Once everyone is paired up, they can open their eyes and see the situation. The main task of this activity is to untangle the human knot without letting go of any hands, so that everyone ends up standing in a circle holding hands, just as they started.
