Summer Has Come

Summer Has Come

Summer has arrived, showing itself with all the colors of nature, birds chirping in the trees, and the sun warming our hearts! This season should not be forgotten as a wonderful opportunity to implement nature and environment-based activities for early childhood education. It is now time to step outside the classroom, feel the soil with the children, observe the trees, listen to the birds, and learn through direct interaction with nature. As teachers, we can make the most of these summer months by engaging children in activities that help them build a strong connection with the natural world.

Summer is a valuable opportunity to help children develop environmental awareness, get to know nature, and foster sensitivity towards it. From story times held in the shade to art activities carried out in the open air, many different environmental education approaches are now ready to be implemented. Let us not forget that every experience children gain through contact with nature supports both their cognitive and emotional development.

And again, let us not forget — children grow with nature and develop through play. Summer is here; now is the time to connect with nature, explore the environment, and bring joy to children through our cultural games! Let’s make the most of this season where we combine education with play, and discovery with nature.
