Game
To select the "ebe" (it) player, a counting method is used. Once the ebe is chosen, the other players sit shoulder to shoulder in a circle with their legs extended forward and knees slightly raised. The ebe positions themselves in the center of the circle.
Players silently pass a handkerchief under their legs to each other in a way that the ebe cannot see. As the handkerchief swiftly moves among the players, the ebe tries to figure out who has it. While passing the handkerchief, players quietly say "Taka tuka fish, fish" and sometimes lightly tap the ebe with the handkerchief in a way that the ebe might not notice. Other players attempt to confuse the ebe.
If the ebe catches the player with the handkerchief, that player becomes the new ebe and they switch places. The game continues in this new arrangement. The ebe must be quick and attentive to catch the handkerchief carrier.
