The Well Game
The Well Game
The Well Game can be organized to suit different age groups. It allows children to have fun while also improving their skills in attention, focus, quick thinking, and strategic decision-making. Additionally, this game supports hand-eye coordination and encourages physical activity, helping children stay active. The Well Game should be played in a large, open space.
Objective of the Activity
Develop children’s attention, focus, and strategic thinking skills,
Enhance motor skills by supporting hand-eye coordination,
Help children experience competition and teamwork in a balanced way,
Encourage physical activity by promoting movement in an open area.
The Game
A hole of 5-6 cm depth is dug in the playing area, and a line is drawn approximately 1-1.5 meters ahead of the hole.
The players take a ping-pong ball in their hands and move to the side of the hole. They take turns throwing their balls toward the line. The player whose ball lands closest to the line becomes the first player. The second and third players are determined based on the ranking of the other balls.
The first player throws the ball into the hole. If the ball enters the hole, they earn 3 points. If they successfully throw the ball again, their score becomes 6. If the ball enters the hole on the third throw, they earn 9 points, and 12 points if they succeed on the fourth throw.
At the end of the game, children color their ping-pong balls using materials or paints. They also create new names for the game and explain how it is played.
