Wolf and Sheep
Game Area: School yard or open field
Requirements: None
Game Duration: Can be extended as desired.
This game is played with a group of children. Players are divided into three groups: 3 wolves, 1 shepherd, and sheep. The children who are the sheep line up behind the shepherd, holding onto each other's waists or forming a line, following the shepherd. The wolves hide on the side, waiting for the opportunity to attack.
During the game, the shepherd occasionally warns the sheep by saying, "Stand in a line, wolves will eat you." The wolves challenge by saying, "I'm a wolf, I catch sheep, I trick the shepherd." When the shepherd is distracted, the wolves try to catch a child at the end or beginning of the line. The children tightly hold onto each other to save the one who is about to be caught. The shepherd continuously tries to keep the wolves away.
If a wolf catches a child from the line, that child is out of the game. Once the wolves catch all the sheep and finish the line, the children switch roles and continue playing.
