Escape the Elastic!
Escape the Elastic!

Before the game begins, students stand side by side in an open area without holding hands, forming a large circle. Around the circle, there is a long and flexible elastic band that surrounds all the students. Each student maintains their position inside the elastic band, preserving the circle formation.
Students move together within the circle in a chosen direction while clapping rhythmically. As they rotate as a group, they try to keep the clapping rhythm steady and coordinated.
Then, one person is chosen as “it.” The person who is “it” carefully observes the game and gives a command at an appropriate moment.
At the moment the command is given, all students try to escape from inside the elastic band at the same time. The key is to move quickly without breaking the circle formation and without bumping into one another.
Whoever is left inside the elastic band or is the last to get out becomes the new “it,” and the game continues in the same way.
This game helps develop students’ attention, rhythm tracking, quick reaction, and impulse control skills. At the same time, it supports group coordination, balance, and physical coordination abilities.
